Welcome!

Founded in 1798, NUMC is an exciting and vibrant community of believers, seekers, and skeptics in the heart of downtown Nicholasville, Kentucky. Our congregation is made up of people from all different walks of life and with a wide array of gifts and talents; each time we gather, it is a truly unique experience!

NUMC is young and old, moms and dads, grandmas and grandpas, singles and couples, families and friends, students and teachers, lost and found! We welcome hundreds each week from Jessamine and Fayette Counties and we’re also home for many students and faculty from Asbury University and Asbury Theological Seminary, both located just a few minutes down the road in Wilmore.

We invite YOU to come, see, and be a part of what God is doing in our community!

Hopefully, we leave our worship celebrations each Sunday energized, inspired and ready to engage the world. That is what we all want, right?! But what actually ends up happening for many of us is the “Monday Disconnect.” Said another way, it is hard to take our “Sunday Faith” and live it as our “Monday Faith.”

Beginning Sunday, January 11, we are launching a new message series that is going to help us take a look at some of the frustrations, challenges and difficulties of everyday life and address those with some practical Scripture and some really practical theology. The idea is that God’s word and generations of the faithful who have gone before us have addressed issues like guilt, shame, fear, worry and competitiveness… and they have found scripture and practical theology helpful in addressing and then overcoming some of the struggles of daily life.

In addition, First Fruit Family Ministries will be placing “Faith Talk” question guides in the bulletin each week. These can be a great tool to spark faith conversations throughout the week (but you do not have to be a part of First Fruit to benefit from it!). Make plans to join us as we begin this new series!
